Every year, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action is financing trips for delegates of German SME to Japan in order to foster business relationships and international trade. Among them, one will be held in October for the maritime and shipbuilding industry including new technologies, components, suppliers, etc. Core elements of this trip with about 8 – 12 participating German companies are a presentation event, where the German companies will introduce their products and services followed by the opportunity to network and meet the companies. Furthermore, individual business meetings between the German and interested Japanese companies will be organized. The delegation will also visit companies and associations from the industry in Tokyo as well as Imabari.
Together with our partner SBS systems for business solutions GmbH and DW-ShipConsult GmbH in Germany, San-Ten Consulting had been appointed to plan, organize, and execute all activities of the delegation tour in Japan. The key events of the tentative program are as follows:
October 17, Presentation and networking event, Tokyo
October 18-19, Company visits and 1-on-1 business meetings in Tokyo
October 20-21, Company visits and 1-on-1 business meetings in Imabari
The participating German companies will be from different areas, for example, quality and efficiency improving technologies, “green shipping” technologies, offshore wind power (including harbor logistics, specialty ships and vessels, and components therefore), as well as service providers for digitalization of harbor infrastructure and logistics.
