O-Bon festival is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one’s ancestors. It has evolved over centuries into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors’ graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. It is one of Japan’s most important travel and vacation season after Golden Week in April and May.
Also the office of San-Ten Consulting will be closed over the O-Bon Week from August 12 – 16. From Monday, August 19 we will be back in office and can be reached at our normal office hours.
