We are delighted to announce that Tempris GmbH, located in Holzkirchen, Germany, recently became our client. Under the new agreement, San-Ten will serve as the Representative Office of Tempris in Japan, handling all marketing and sales activities.
Product Temperature Measurement: A Crucial Factor in Lyophilization
Measuring product temperature during lyophilization is crucial for ensuring product quality and optimizing the lyophilization cycle. Tempris has developed an innovative technology to enhance efficiency and safety in the freeze-drying process for APIs, vaccines, biologics, and more. The core of the system is a wireless, battery-free temperature sensor that measures the product's temperature directly during the lyophilization process. These sensors facilitate sterile and automated product handling without affecting the product.
In conjunction with the LyoCLC closed-loop control software, which integrates seamlessly with the sensors, and by utilizing AI and machine learning, an algorithm accurately predicts the endpoint of primary drying based on real-time process data.
This offers two significant advantages:
Firstly, it prevents the premature termination of the lyophilization process, which could lead to incomplete drying and discarded product batches. It also ensures greater product safety and reduces waste.
Secondly, it avoids unnecessarily prolonged freeze-drying durations, which are often used as a precaution but consume significant energy for vacuum and cooling. Consequently, lyophilization time is minimized to the necessary maximum, allowing for more freeze-drying cycles within the same timeframe.
Overall, Tempris provides a unique lyophilization technology that enables at least a 25% increase in process efficiency compared to a non-optimized conservative cycle.
